| Day 1 Saigon arrival On your arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, welcome by our guide and transfer to your selected hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax and explore. Overnight in Saigon. Meals: Welcome dinner
Day 2 Saigon/ Mekong Delta We explore the Mekong Delta by various boat trips amongst the smaller tributaries to visit local floating markets, villages, home industries and plantations. We will return to Saigon in the mid-afternoon, with the remainder of the day free for shopping or exploration. Overnight in hotel. Meals: Breakfast, lunch
Day 3 Saigon City tour + Cu Chi Tunnels Today we explore the famous Vietcong Cu Chi tunnels in the morning. We will return to Saigon in the mid-afternoon, and take a walking tour of Saigon, visiting the many famous and historic landmarks of the city. Visit the Presidential Palace, War Crimes Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, Post Office, bustling Cho Lon district (China town), Ben Thanh Markets with the remainder of the day free for shopping or exploration. Overnight in hotel. Meals: Breakfast
Day 4 Saigon to Da Nang/Hoian Fly to Da Nang and transfer to Hoi An stopping at the Cham Museum en route. We continue south to numerous caves and Buddhist shrines of the Marble Mountains and stop at famous China Beach. We enjoy a brief walking of Hoi An. This World Heritage site combines Chinese, Japanese, European and Vietnamese influences. Overnight in Hoi An. Meals: Breakfast
Day 5 Hoian Today we take a walking tour of the old centre of Hoi An. We visit an old merchant home, the Japanese Covered Bridge, Hoi An market and a local Chinese pagoda. Get some clothes tailor-made, relax at riverside restaurants or take a short journey to the nearby beach. In the late afternoon there is an option of fantastic cruise on the Thu Bon River then enjoy a fun cooking class at a local restaurant. Overnight in Hoi An. Meals: Breakfast
Day 6 Hoian/Da Nang/ Hanoi Transfer to Da Nang for your flight to Hanoi. Hanoi is artistic and intellectual capital. We start our exploration of Hanoi by visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his house on stilts, French colonial presidential palace, 11th century One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, Hanoi’s first university dating to 1070 and a cyclo tour of the fascinating Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake. Go shopping for impressive modern art in the city’s myriad galleries. This evening before dinner we will enjoy a cyclo tour of the Old Quarter and its night markets. Meals: Breakfast, dinner
Day 7 Hanoi/Halong Bay This morning we travel east to Ha Long Bay, Vietnam’s greatest natural wonder. We spend the day cruising among some of 3,000 limestone islands that rise out of the sea, and explore some spectacular caves and grottoes in the area. Take a swim (if the weather permitting), enjoy the super seafood lunch on board. In the afternoon we return to Hanoi, stopping at a ceramic village en route. Overnight in Hanoi. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Farewell dinner
Day 8 Hanoi Departure Free for last minute shopping before transfer to Noi Bai airport for your flight. Meals: Breakfast
