| This is one the short trip for the people who want to see some feature attractions of Vietnam. The journey commences in charming Hanoi where we explore the city and to Ha Long Bay, a world’s heritage site. Flying to Da Nang on Vietnam’s central coast, we enjoy a old merchant town of Hoi An and take one of the most beautiful drives to Hue where we visit the former capital of Vietnam. Finally, we fly to Saigon, a dynamic and fascinating biggest city of Vietnam and explore the city with her surrounds including Mekong Delta.
Day 1 Hanoi Arrival Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will be welcomed by our guide and transferred to your hotel. Hanoi is one of Asia’s most charming cities, with romantic boulevards and colonial houses. The remainder of the day is free for exploration. Overnight in Hanoi. Meals: Welcome dinner
Day 2 Hanoi - City tour After breakfast, spend your day touring the capital and visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, its former residence, One Pillar Pagoda, Tran Quoc Pagoda and Temple of Literature. In the afternoon, visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (closed on Monday), Hoan Kiem Lake with Ngoc Son Temple; enjoy a cyclo tour of the fascinating Old Quarter and a water puppet show early in the evening. Day 3 Hanoi - Ha Long Bay This morning we travel east to Ha Long Bay, Vietnam’s greatest natural wonder. We spend the day cruising among some of 3,000 limestone islands that rise out of the sea, and explore some spectacular caves and grottoes in the area. Take a swim (if the weather permitting), enjoy the super seafood lunch on board. In the afternoon we return to Hanoi, stopping at a ceramic village en route. Overnight in Hanoi. Day 4 Hanoi - Da Nang - Hoi An Transfer to the airport for your morning flight to Da Nang on Vietnam’s central coast. Here, we stop at the unique Cham museum, dedicated to the Hindu-inspired sculpture of these fascinating people. We continue south to the numerous caves and Buddhist shrines of the Marble Mountains and stop at famous China Beach, then the merchant port town of Hoi An. We enjoy a brief walking tour of this historical town. This World’s Heritage site combines Chinese, Japanese, European and Vietnamese influences and we follow its narrow lanes lines with centuries old buildings and visit the town traditional products they sell. Day 5 Hoi An Today we take a walking tour of the old centre of Hoi An. We visit an old merchant home, the Japanese Covered Bridge, Hoi An market and a local Chinese pagoda. Get some clothes tailor-made, relax at riverside restaurants or take a short journey to the nearby beach. In the late afternoon there is an option of fantastic cruise on the Thu Bon River then enjoy a fun cooking class at a local restaurant. Overnight in Hoi An. Meals: Breakfast
Day 6 Hoi An - Da Nang - Hue This morning we take a spectacular road journey over Haivan Pass to Hue, Vietnam’s former capital. Hue, divided by the beautiful Perfume River, is also famous as the centre for Buddhism, art and literature, and the last imperial capital of Vietnam. Our first stop is Citadel, former home to the emperors devastated during Vietnam War in Tet Offensive 1968. We then travel to Thien Mu pagoda, Hue’s oldest and most beautiful pagoda and return by dragon boat along the Perfume River. Overnight in Hue. Meals: Breakfast, Imperial dinner
Day 7 Hue - Saigon City Leave to Hue Airport for your morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City (former Saigon). On arrival, proceed to your selected hotel. In the same morning, discover the bustling Saigon: Enjoy a tour in the Old Colonial Residential Quarter with the old Hotel de Ville, the Opera House, the 19th century Notre-Dame Cathedral, the beautiful Central Post Office and the Reunification Palace (outside). In the afternoon, visit the War Remnants Museum and continue to Cho Lon and the bustling Binh Tay Markets. Overnight in Saigon. Meals: Breakfast
Day 8 Saigon - Mekong Delta - Saigon This morning we travel to “rice bowl” of Vietnam – the incredibly lush Mekong Delta. Two hours south of Saigon, we arrive at My Tho, and travel by long boat through a floating market. Experience the vibrant market life in this incredibly industrious part of Vietnam. For lunch we might sample local specialties, including “Elephant ear fish”. We also visit the snake farm Dong Tam that breeds snakes for, among other things, snake wine and enjoy a bonsai garden in Trung Luong before heading back to Saigon. Overnight in Saigon. Meals: Breakfast, Farewell dinner
Day 9 Saigon – Departure (B) Free for last minute shopping before transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for your flight.
